As a Company Secretary at FESCO, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the company adheres to legal and regulatory requirements, facilitating smooth operations, and supporting senior management.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all administrative and secretarial functions for FESCO.
- Ensure compliance with legal, corporate, and regulatory requirements, including corporate governance standards.
- Maintain the company’s statutory books, minutes, and records, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Organize and attend board meetings, preparing agendas, minutes, and resolutions.
- Advise senior management on corporate governance best practices.
- Communicate with regulatory authorities, stakeholders, and external legal advisors.
- Coordinate and monitor the implementation of decisions made by the Board of Directors.
- Handle confidential company information and legal documentation.
- Assist in the preparation of annual reports and financial statements.

Qualifications
- Education: Master’s degree, ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), CA (Chartered Accountant), or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Experience: Proven experience in a secretarial or corporate governance role, ideally within the public or private sector.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of corporate law, governance, and compliance.
- Proficiency in managing corporate documents, minutes, and reports.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Proficiency in office software and management tools.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Additional certifications or training related to corporate governance will be considered a plus.
