Responsibilities
- Operate heavy transport vehicles (HTV) such as trailers and trucks safely and efficiently.
- Ensure the vehicle is maintained in good condition, including routine checks on engine, brakes, lights, and tires.
- Follow all traffic rules and company safety procedures to ensure the safe delivery of goods.
- Assist in loading and unloading goods, when required, while ensuring proper handling of cargo.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, and fuel usage.
- Adhere to scheduled routes and delivery timelines.
- Report any accidents or incidents immediately.
Qualifications
- Education: Minimum Middle or Matric level education preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in driving HTVs or similar vehicles is highly desirable.
- Valid driving license for HTV (Heavy Transport Vehicle).
- Good knowledge of traffic rules and safety regulations.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle physical tasks.
