Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan, a renowned non-governmental organization (NGO) dedicated to providing healthcare, education, and social services, is inviting applications for the role of Thalassemia Facilitation Officer. This position is based in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and offers a chance to contribute to a significant cause by supporting the foundation’s efforts in thalassemia care and management.
Key Responsibilities
- Thalassemia Patient Support:
- Assist in providing medical assistance and support to thalassemia patients under the foundation’s care.
- Facilitate access to treatment and follow-up services for thalassemia patients.
- Awareness Campaigns:
- Develop and implement awareness campaigns to educate the community about thalassemia and its prevention.
- Conduct outreach programs in schools, clinics, and community centers.
- Coordination:
- Coordinate with healthcare providers, hospitals, and other NGOs to ensure that thalassemia patients receive the best possible care.
- Maintain and update patient records, ensuring accurate and confidential documentation.
- Reporting:
- Prepare regular reports on the activities and progress of the thalassemia facilitation program.
- Report on challenges and needs to senior management.
Qualifications
- Educational Qualification:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (such as health sciences, social work, or a related discipline) is preferred.
- A BSV (Bachelor of Social Work) or related qualification will also be considered.
- Experience:
- Previous experience working in healthcare, social work, or an NGO setting is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge or experience in thalassemia care is a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with diverse communities and stakeholders.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
