Job Introduction:
The Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) is a leading government organization responsible for the development and management of Pakistan’s water and power resources. WAPDA is seeking qualified professionals to fill a variety of key positions for the Dasu Hydropower Project and various Consultant roles. Responsibilities:
- Consultant Environment:
- Provide expertise on environmental assessments and sustainability initiatives.
- Oversee environmental compliance for large-scale projects.
- Develop and implement strategies for minimizing environmental impact.
- Consultant Geo Tech Engineering:
- Provide geotechnical assessments for infrastructure and hydropower projects.
- Conduct soil and rock testing, as well as subsurface investigations.
- Provide recommendations for foundations and earthworks.
- Advisor Dasu Hydropower Project:
- Offer guidance and expertise on the development and management of the Dasu Hydropower Project.
- Oversee project timelines, budgets, and technical specifications.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
- Advisor Projects:
- Advise on large-scale infrastructure and hydropower projects.
- Ensure successful project execution within scope, time, and budget.
- Manage stakeholder relationships and coordination.
- Advisor HR:
- Develop human resources strategies to support organizational growth.
- Manage recruitment, training, and employee relations.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
- Consultant Flood Management:
- Provide expertise in flood management and mitigation strategies.
- Develop flood risk assessments and emergency response plans.
- Advise on the implementation of flood control infrastructure.
- Advisor Sports:
- Advise on the development of sports facilities and programs.
- Oversee the management of sports-related projects within WAPDA.
- Promote sports and fitness initiatives within the organization.
- Consultant Aviation:
- Provide aviation-related consulting services for project logistics and planning.
- Advise on aviation safety, equipment, and infrastructure.
- Assist in coordinating air transportation for large projects.
- Consultant Sports:
- Provide expertise on sports facility development and management.
- Help plan, design, and implement sports programs and initiatives.
- Collaborate with external agencies for sports-related projects.
- Consultant Safe City Projects:
- Advise on the design and implementation of safe city infrastructure.
- Assist in the integration of technology for public safety.
- Coordinate with government agencies to ensure the success of the projects.
- Consultant Monitoring Program:
- Develop and implement monitoring systems for various projects.
- Ensure effective tracking of project performance and outcomes.
- Provide regular reports and recommendations to improve project implementation.
- Advisor Logistics:
- Oversee logistics for WAPDA projects, ensuring efficient operations.
- Advise on supply chain management and transportation solutions.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment to project sites.
Qualifications:
- Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or MBA in relevant fields such as Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Project Management, HR, or related disciplines.
- M.Sc. or MS degrees in specific areas such as flood management, sports management, or logistics may be preferred for relevant roles.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in large infrastructure projects or management roles for certain positions.
- Prior experience in hydropower, flood management, or other relevant sectors is highly desirable.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong leadership and project management skills.
- Expertise in the relevant technical areas.
- Ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and complex projects.
