Responsibilities
- Driver:
- Safely drive university vehicles for official purposes, ensuring timely and secure transport.
- Maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of the vehicle.
- Ensure that all necessary vehicle documentation (insurance, registration) is up to date.
- Assist in transporting staff and visitors as required.
- Sewing Machine Mechanic:
- Maintain and repair sewing machines used within the university’s facilities.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to sewing machine functionality.
- Perform regular maintenance to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
- Keep detailed records of repairs and parts used.
- Mechanic:
- Perform maintenance and repairs on various mechanical equipment at PTUT.
- Troubleshoot and fix mechanical issues with machinery and equipment.
- Keep maintenance logs up to date and report on any recurring problems.
- Ensure all mechanical systems are functioning efficiently.
Qualifications
- Driver:
- Minimum education: Matric.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Prior experience as a driver is preferred.
- Knowledge of traffic rules and regulations.
- Sewing Machine Mechanic & Mechanic:
- Minimum education: Matric.
- Relevant technical training or experience in sewing machine repair or mechanical maintenance.
- Strong troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
