Responsibilities
- Field Compounder:
- Assist in the preparation and administration of medications for animals.
- Monitor animal health and ensure they receive necessary treatments.
- Provide support to veterinarians during medical procedures.
- Clerk:
- Handle administrative tasks, including filing, record-keeping, and document preparation.
- Assist in managing departmental correspondence and reports.
- Support senior staff with office management tasks.
- Animal Keeper:
- Care for the daily needs of animals in the wildlife parks, including feeding, cleaning, and maintaining enclosures.
- Monitor the health and well-being of animals.
- Assist in maintaining the park’s cleanliness and safety for both animals and visitors.
- Hatchery Man:
- Manage the hatchery operations, ensuring proper incubation and care for eggs.
- Monitor the health of hatchlings and provide necessary care.
- Maintain hatchery equipment and supplies.
- Driver:
- Safely operate department vehicles for various tasks, including transportation of staff, equipment, and animals when necessary.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure proper maintenance and repair.
Qualifications
- Field Compounder:
- Minimum Intermediate education preferred.
- Experience in animal care or veterinary assistance is a plus.
- Clerk:
- Intermediate education with basic knowledge of office software and administrative skills.
- Previous experience in office administration is an advantage.
- Animal Keeper:
- Matric or Middle education.
- Experience in animal care or related fields is preferred.
- Hatchery Man:
- Matric or Middle education.
- Knowledge of hatchery operations and animal breeding is beneficial.
- Driver:
- Middle or Matric education.
- Valid driving license with a good driving record.
- Previous experience in driving for a government department or organization is preferred.
