Responsibilities
- Principal Data Engineer:
- Lead the design and implementation of data architecture and engineering systems.
- Develop and maintain large-scale data processing pipelines.
- Ensure the scalability and performance of data systems.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and developers to optimize data flows and enhance system efficiency.
- Oversee data integration and ensure data quality across multiple systems.
- Data Architect:
- Design, create, and manage the structure of data systems.
- Define data models and integrate data across platforms.
- Work closely with development teams to ensure the effective use of data in software applications.
- Evaluate and implement best practices for data storage, security, and access management.
- Develop strategies to handle large volumes of data and improve data accessibility.
Qualifications
- Education:
- Principal Data Engineer: Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Data Architect: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields such as BIT, MIT, BCS, MCS, or MS.
- Experience:
- Proven experience in data engineering, data architecture, or a similar role.
- Strong experience with data warehousing, ETL processes, and large-scale data management.
- Familiarity with modern data architecture, cloud technologies, and big data tools.
- Skills:
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, SQL, or Java.
- Expertise in cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
