Job Introduction

The Health Department of Sindh is inviting applications from motivated individuals to fill these critical roles. The positions aim to support the planning, development, and execution of public health programs across Karachi, contributing to the overall betterment of healthcare facilities in the region.


Responsibilities:

  • Technical Advisor:
    • Provide expert advice on technical aspects of healthcare projects and programs.
    • Ensure technical guidelines and standards are followed in the execution of healthcare initiatives.
    • Liaise with stakeholders, including government bodies and healthcare partners.
  • Monitoring & Evaluation Officer:
    • Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation strategies for healthcare programs.
    • Track and assess the performance and effectiveness of health initiatives.
    • Prepare reports and recommend improvements based on evaluations.
  • Sub Engineer (Electrical):
    • Assist in the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems in healthcare facilities.
    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards in electrical works.
    • Perform routine inspections and troubleshoot electrical issues.
  • Livelihood Officer:
    • Implement and oversee livelihood programs aimed at improving the economic well-being of communities.
    • Engage with beneficiaries to ensure the successful delivery of livelihood support.
    • Monitor the progress and outcomes of livelihood programs.
  • Microfinancing Officer:
    • Manage and coordinate microfinancing programs to support low-income individuals and communities.
    • Assess financial needs and provide microloans for small-scale entrepreneurial projects.
    • Track loan recovery and financial impact.
  • Social Safeguard Gender Specialist:
    • Develop and implement policies to ensure gender-sensitive approaches in health programs.
    • Address social safeguard issues related to gender in health interventions.
    • Conduct research and provide recommendations for gender equality initiatives.
  • Communication Media Specialist:
    • Develop communication strategies to promote health programs and initiatives.
    • Create media content, including articles, social media posts, and press releases.
    • Handle public relations and media queries related to health projects.
  • Sub Engineer (Civil):
    • Supervise construction and maintenance projects for healthcare facilities.
    • Ensure compliance with civil engineering standards in all health-related infrastructure.
    • Manage project timelines, budgets, and quality controls.

Qualifications:

  • Technical Advisor & Monitoring & Evaluation Officer:
    • Master’s degree in Public Health, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
    • Relevant experience in healthcare programs and project management.
  • Sub Engineer (Electrical & Civil):
    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering.
    • Previous experience in construction or electrical systems, preferably in healthcare.
  • Livelihood Officer & Microfinancing Officer:
    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Social Sciences, or related fields.
    • Experience in livelihood programs or microfinance sectors is a plus.
  • Social Safeguard Gender Specialist & Communication Media Specialist:
    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Gender Studies, or Communications.
    • Experience in gender issues or media communications in public health is preferred.
