Assistant Advisor & Advisor (Federal Tax Ombudsman Secretariat, Islamabad)

The Federal Tax Ombudsman Secretariat is currently seeking qualified candidates for the positions of Assistant Advisor, Advisor, and Assistant Advisor Accounts across multiple locations, including Islamabad, Sargodha, Peshawar, Karachi, Lahore, and Mianwali. This is a full-time opportunity to contribute to the management and improvement of the federal tax system in Pakistan.

Responsibilities:

  • Assistant Advisor Accounts:
    • Support in maintaining financial records and preparing accounts.
    • Assist in the preparation of tax reports, audits, and financial statements.
    • Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Assistant Advisor:
    • Provide administrative and technical support to senior advisors.
    • Assist in the preparation of policies and strategies related to tax management.
    • Handle tax-related complaints and support the grievance resolution process.
  • Advisor:
    • Lead the development of tax policies and strategies.
    • Provide expert advice and support in managing tax-related disputes.
    • Supervise teams working on tax issues and ensure the proper implementation of tax reforms.

Qualifications:

  • Assistant Advisor Accounts/Assistant Advisor:
    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, or related fields.
    • Relevant experience in tax administration or accounting is preferred.
  • Advisor:
    • Master’s degree in a related field (Taxation, Economics, Business Administration).
    • Extensive experience in tax management, policy development, or dispute resolution.
    • Strong leadership and communication skills.
